Team arrives in Haiti May 4, 2010
CMAT team at the Jenkins/Penn Haiti Relief Organization Hospital in Petionville, Haiti.
Where CMAT team members stayed - J/P HRO camp in Petionville. The camp served 200-300 Haitians daily coming through the hospital.
Pharmacy for the hospital. Fairly well stocked but missing some important and commonly used medications.
Hospital, xray tent and dentistry tent at the JP/HRO hospital complex. The hospital served a large tent city at the bottom of the hill where 60,000 internally displaced Haitians stayed in tents/shacks.
Local Haitians were hired by J/P HRO to translate for the physicians. They formed an indispensible part of the team.
Dr. Khan with Haitian boy from the Tent City at Petionville Camp. The boy is deaf but communicates with sign-language.
